Protocol, API and SDK changes with semantic versioning, and the deprecation promise integrators need before they build on EDC.

Policy (proposed)

  • The protocol, the REST/WebSocket API and each SDK are versioned independently with semantic versioning.
  • Breaking changes are announced at least 12 months ahead and shipped in a major version; the previous major is supported for that period.
  • Firmware release notes state the protocol version each build speaks.
  • This page has an RSS feed once the first release ships.
