Sound for the room you actually have

Corporate & boardrooms

Looking for loudspeakers for a hard, glassy corporate space or an LED-wall auditorium? EDC's SC-60 columns mount horizontally above each screen section and cover its seating with one beam and the whole room with another; at Mastercard's New York headquarters SQ-90s, SS-3s and slim SL-60s achieved a speech transmission index above 0.85 in a room with a reverberation time over six seconds.
Corporate & boardrooms

From conference centre to boardroom, meetings run on intelligibility. EDC’s S-Series delivers it in the hard, reflective rooms modern offices are made of, and adapts as the room’s use changes.

Mastercard Global Office, New York

The headquarters was proving to be an acoustically challenging space: high reverberation, low intelligibility and multiple modes of use, from full-space events to small presentations at the video wall. Combining SQ-90, SS-3 and SC-60SL cabinets, EDC reports a speech transmission index above 0.85 in a room with an RT60 over six seconds. The client “would not have believed the STI performance if proved in advance”. Read the case study.

Edwards Lifesciences headquarters, California

The client wanted to isolate sound to zones across an LED wall while keeping the ability to cover the entire space. One SC-60 mounted horizontally above each wall section gives clear, distinct audio in front of each segment; a second beam covers the whole space evenly. Read the case study.

Frequently asked questions

Can one system serve several room modes?
Yes. Mastercard's headquarters switches between full-space events and small presentations in front of the video wall by recalling beam presets, with the same cabinets.
Can the loudspeakers be discreet?
SL columns are 147 mm deep and SC columns 142 mm wide; both mount horizontally above screens or vertically beside them. Custom finishes are available.
How does it integrate with our control system?
Loudspeakers are network-controlled. A documented protocol and Q-SYS and Crestron plug-ins are being specified — see Developers.

An EDC session is a technical evaluation of sound behaviour, not a sales demonstration. See reflections reduced, coverage stabilised and spatial accuracy preserved — modelled first, then measured.
